The staff genuinely seems to know the area well, which is huge when you’re trying to figure out whether to hit the Saturday market in town (do it) or venture over to the fishing port early morning to watch the boats come in. You’re close enough to walk into Douarnenez proper – past the cemetery and down toward the port where the real action happens during sardine season. But you’re also positioned perfectly for day trips along the Crozon peninsula or even that gorgeous drive out to Pointe du Raz if you don’t mind an hour in the car. The 7.5 rating honestly feels about right – it’s not going to blow you away, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any unpleasant surprises. I’d definitely stay here again, especially if I was planning to spend most of my time exploring the coastline rather than hanging around the hotel. It’s the kind of place that just works, you know?
