Tasman Holiday Parks – Moama on the Murray
Look, I’ve stayed at plenty of holiday parks across Australia, and Tasman Holiday Parks in Moama actually gets it right in ways that matter. The moment you pull up to 69 Dungula Way, you realize this isn’t your typical cramped caravan park – there’s genuine space here, and honestly, that makes all the difference when you’re trying to unwind.
What really struck me was how they’ve managed to keep that relaxed Murray River vibe without letting standards slip. I mean, you’re literally a stone’s throw from the Murray, and you can hear it if you listen carefully on quiet mornings – not rushing, just that gentle lapping that reminds you why people escape to this part of NSW in the first place. The facilities are what you’d expect from a 4-star setup, but it’s the little things that stood out. The amenities blocks were actually clean (and stayed that way), the powered sites have decent space between them so you’re not listening to your neighbor’s TV all night, and the camp kitchen – well, it’s one of those rare ones where you’d actually want to cook rather than just heat up two-minute noodles.
Moama itself is one of those twin border towns that works perfectly for a holiday base. You’ve got Echuca literally across the bridge if you want the paddle steamer tourist stuff, but staying on the NSW side means you’re in the quieter part while still being close enough to walk to everything that matters. The park’s position on Dungula Way puts you about ten minutes from the main strip, which is perfect – close enough to grab supplies or hit up the RSL for a counter meal, far enough that you’re not dealing with day-tripper traffic. I noticed families really take to this place, especially during school holidays when the pool area becomes pretty lively, but even then it never felt chaotic. The staff seem to know how to keep things running smoothly without being heavy-handed about rules – you know what I mean, that balance between keeping order and letting people actually relax. If you’re thinking about timing, shoulder seasons are brilliant here. March and April particularly, when the river’s still warm enough for a swim but the crowds have thinned out. That 8.8 rating? Yeah, I can see why it sits that high.
Each resort village provides a unique blend of privacy and community, where guests enjoy villa-style accommodations while having access to shared amenities and social experiences.

Beautiful Cabins, well maintained grounds and close to the Murray. We loved it and we were greeted by beautiful kookaburras perched on the balcony. The staff were so accommodating and welcoming

The only thing I can fault is that there was no hairdryer. Next time I would bring my own 😊

I loved that there were two pool areas. The park was quiet and the facilities were excellent.

Unfortunately when we were there the main pool area was taken over by a whole group of people which made it uncomfortable to even try to use that pool area. Lucky there was another pool.

Lovely cabin, very well equipped.

Pools too crowded with kids to swim, but you can’t do much about that!
