It’s tucked away on Harley Shute Road, which is one of those winding roads that feels properly English countryside even though you’re just minutes from Hastings seafront. The whole setup has this relaxed, almost off-the-beaten-path vibe that I wasn’t anticipating – and honestly, that 8.7 rating starts making sense the moment you pull up.

What struck me most was how they’ve managed to feel boutique-y without being pretentious about it. There’s no official star rating because, well, they sort of do their own thing here. The grounds are genuinely lovely – lots of green space where kids can actually run around without you panicking, and the accommodations have this modern comfort thing down without feeling sterile. I mean, you’re technically staying at a holiday park, but it doesn’t have that chaotic holiday camp energy if that’s what you’re worried about. The staff actually seem to know what they’re doing too, which isn’t always a given at these places. Check-in was smooth, parking’s not a nightmare (always a win in my book), and they’ve got that sweet spot of being organized without feeling overly managed.

Here’s what really sells it for me though – the location is pretty brilliant if you want to explore this bit of East Sussex properly. You’re close enough to walk down to the coast when the mood strikes, but far enough back that you’re not dealing with seafront crowds and noise all the time. Hastings Old Town is just a short drive away, and honestly, if you’ve never wandered around there, you’re missing out – proper medieval streets and some of the best fish and chips on the south coast. The 1066 battlefield at Battle is twenty minutes up the road too, which I know sounds touristy but it’s actually quite moving if you’re into that sort of thing. What I really appreciated was having a comfortable base to come back to after day trips – somewhere that feels like a proper retreat rather than just a place to crash. The whole park has this community feel during peak season but never gets overwhelming, and in the quieter months it’s genuinely peaceful. For families especially, it hits that perfect balance of having enough going on to keep everyone happy without the chaos that some holiday parks can descend into.
