HOTEL OVERVIEW
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to Spice Hotel & Spa in Belek – you know how these Turkish resort towns can be hit or miss. But this place actually surprised me in the best way. It’s tucked right in the Iskele area, which if you’re not familiar with Belek, is basically the sweet spot between the main drag and the quieter beach zones. You’re close enough to walk to some decent local restaurants (there’s this little place called Mavi that does incredible pide just a few minutes away), but far enough from the tourist chaos that you can actually hear yourself think.
The spa here is honestly what sets it apart – and I’m usually pretty skeptical about hotel spas because they tend to be overpriced and underwhelming. But they’ve got this Turkish bath setup that feels authentic, not like some sanitized resort version. The marble is cool under your feet, and they use local oils that smell like actual herbs, not synthetic nonsense. I mean, it’s still pricey, but you’re getting the real deal. The rooms themselves are what you’d expect from a solid 5-star – clean, comfortable, good water pressure (which matters more than people realize). Some of the older rooms have this slightly dated feel, but in a charming way, not a dingy way. Pro tip: ask for something facing the gardens rather than the pool area if you’re a light sleeper, because Turkish families know how to have a good time and they’re not quiet about it.
What really got me was the breakfast situation – they do this thing where they bring fresh honeycomb to your table, and the guy actually explains where it comes from (somewhere in the Taurus Mountains, apparently). It’s those little touches that make you feel like someone actually cares about what you’re experiencing. The location works really well if you want to explore beyond just lying on the beach. Belek’s got some serious golf courses if that’s your thing, and you’re only about 30 minutes from Antalya proper when you want to see some real history. The hotel runs shuttles to the beach club, which saves you the walk in the heat – and trust me, Turkish summers are no joke. Overall, it’s the kind of place that delivers on being upscale without feeling stuffy or fake. That 8.2 rating makes sense to me – it’s genuinely good, just not absolutely perfect in every single way.

Good selection of fresh food and a trip to the a la carte Wasabi restaurant was very good.
The staff were friendly and attentive.
The facilities we used were very good, the indoor pool and spa area.
As it was out of season none of the outside facilities were open.
