The cabins look like they’ve had some serious money thrown at them recently, and honestly, the whole setup feels more like a proper resort village than your typical caravan park.

The location is pretty clever too – you’re far enough out from Shepparton’s center to avoid the traffic noise (especially important if you’re trying to sleep off a big day at one of the wineries), but close enough that you can still walk to the Woolies on Wyndham Street if you need supplies. The staff seem to actually know the area well, which makes a difference when you’re asking about whether SPC Ardmona is worth visiting or where to find decent coffee that isn’t just another chain. I particularly liked how they handle the whole key situation – none of that awkward hanging around reception at weird hours nonsense.

What really works here is the mix they’ve got going. There are families with kids running around the playground area, but the cabin zones are quiet enough that you’re not dealing with screaming toddlers at 6 AM. The facilities are clean without being sterile, and the grounds actually feel maintained rather than just mowed occasionally. The pool area gets pretty busy during school holidays – fair warning – but outside those times it’s quite pleasant. I noticed they’ve put some effort into the landscaping too, which sounds minor but makes the whole place feel less like you’re camping in a parking lot. The Wi-Fi works properly, the hot water doesn’t run out, and there’s decent parking right by your cabin. Sometimes it’s the basic stuff done well that makes all the difference, you know? For a 4-star rating with a 7.6 score, it delivers what you’d expect without any nasty surprises.
