Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park Overview

Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park sits right where you’d want it to — literally a two-minute walk from one of the most gorgeous stretches of sand you’ll find anywhere on the NSW coast. I mean, when they named it Seven Mile Beach, they weren’t being creative, they were just stating facts. The thing is, most people drive straight past Gerroa on their way to Jervis Bay, which honestly works out perfectly for anyone staying here because you get all that pristine coastline without the insane crowds.

The park itself has this laid-back, properly Australian holiday vibe that you don’t find much anymore. It’s not trying to be fancy — there are powered sites for caravans, some decent cabins, and the amenities blocks are clean without being flash. What I love about this place is how the locals from Wollongong and Sydney have been coming here for decades, so there’s this genuine community feel, especially during school holidays when the same families set up camp in the same spots year after year. The staff actually know people’s names, which is refreshing. Check-in was straightforward, parking’s never an issue (plenty of space even for big rigs), and honestly, you’re not dealing with any of that resort nonsense where everything costs extra.

You know what really sells this place though? The location is absolutely unbeatable. Crooked River Road might sound like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but you’re actually perfectly positioned — the beach is right there, Kiama’s twenty minutes north if you want the tourist stuff and decent coffee, and if you head south, you’ll hit some of the most spectacular coastal driving in the state. The beach itself is incredible for families because it’s patrolled, the surf’s usually pretty manageable, and there’s enough space that you can actually find a quiet spot even on busy weekends. I noticed the wind can pick up in the afternoons (typical for this stretch of coast), but mornings are usually perfect. The sound of the waves is constant but not overwhelming — actually helps you sleep better. One small thing: if you’re in the sites closer to the road, you’ll get some traffic noise, but it’s not terrible and dies down completely after about 9 PM. For what you’re paying and where you are, Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park just makes sense. It’s proper beach camping without any pretense, the kind of place where you can genuinely unwind and remember why Australian coastal holidays used to be so good.

Travelers can book a resort that perfectly matches their vacation dreams, from beachfront properties to mountain retreats, ensuring every detail is crafted for maximum enjoyment and relaxation.

Area was great. Staff was great. Short walk to beach and short drive to food areas.

What could be improved: Pay the extra and get a cabin with a bathroom. Would've liked at least a sink inside the shack. Also no wifi and poor/no reception. Bring entertainment! Beautiful area.

The property was great for us. The only thing I would complain about which is not the properties fault was a family who was letting their kids scream and run around the property at 5:30 am.

We had a cabin in front of the river with a nice view and a little green space in front of us.

What could be improved: It did get very crowded as our visit went on with a lot of cars and people jammed into the tent sites next to our cabin.

The cabin was very comfortable and clean, the linen crisp. The location was very convenient with beautiful beaches. The river was very low though so fishing or kayaking wasn't an option on this occasion.

What could be improved: They charged me an extra $50 for my pet staying with us, although I mentioned that when I booked and the money had already been paid in full with Bookings.com. I said they did not stipulate that on bookings and they said, 'it's not there', it felt like it was just a way to make more money. I also told them the light for the bbq area wasn't working but they didn't come and fix it.

We stay in the shak.
Close to the beach and amenities near Berry, Gerroa, and Gerringong.
You can bring your own toothpaste and brush only. Other than that, everything is provided. So handy.

What could be improved: A bit noise at night from near kids playing facilities.

I was pleasantly surprised that even though we booked a cheap surf shack the beds were super comfortable. Everything was very clean and there was everything we needed. Appliances, cutlery, towel, toiletries etc.

What could be improved: Nothing though the tennis court could eventually be updated
