The residence itself has this sort of relaxed Corsican vibe that doesn’t try too hard. The rooms are clean and functional – not fancy, but everything works, which is more than I can say for some four-star places I’ve stayed. I particularly appreciated that they warned me about the Saturday market parking situation in town (absolute chaos, park at the port instead). The pool area gets good afternoon sun, and there’s usually a decent breeze coming off the hills that makes even the hottest days bearable. Parking’s included, which might sound minor until you’ve tried finding a spot in Porto-Vecchio during peak season – it’s like a very expensive game of musical chairs.

It’s that sweet spot where you feel like you’re staying somewhere locals might actually choose, not just another tourist processing center.
