Okay, so first things first – don’t let the “caravan” part throw you off like it did me initially. I mean, when I heard Presthaven Resort’s luxury caravans, I was picturing something pretty basic, but honestly? This place completely changed my perspective on what holiday park accommodation can be. The 3-bedroom Gold setup they’ve got going is actually more spacious and well-appointed than some city apartments I’ve stayed in, and I’m not just saying that.

The location is what really makes this work, though. You’re literally a stone’s throw from Talacre Beach – and I mean you can hear the waves from the caravan on quiet evenings, which is pretty magical. The kids (and let’s be honest, the adults too) go absolutely mental for the lighthouse that’s right there on the beach. It’s one of those proper Instagram-worthy spots, but more importantly, it’s just a gorgeous place to watch the sunset with a cup of tea. Shore Road itself is easy to find, and parking’s never been an issue when I’ve visited, which is more than I can say for a lot of coastal spots in North Wales during summer.

What surprised me most was the attention to detail inside – the kitchen’s actually functional (shocking, I know, for holiday accommodation), and there’s proper storage space so you’re not living out of suitcases for a week. The bedrooms are generous enough that you don’t feel like you’re stepping on each other, and the main living area has this warm, contemporary feel that somehow doesn’t scream “rental property.” You know what really sold me? The shower has proper water pressure. Sounds silly, but after too many holidays with pathetic dribbles passing for showers, it’s the little things that matter. The whole setup feels more like borrowing a friend’s really nice holiday home than staying in typical resort accommodation. Sure, you’re still in a holiday park with all the usual amenities – pool, entertainment, the works – but this feels like you’ve got your own little retreat within it all. And honestly, for families or groups who want that balance of having activities on tap but also a proper base to relax in, it’s pretty much perfect.
