First Impressions
Honestly, when I first pulled into ParkDean Cherry tree holiday park Burgh castle, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from a holiday park in Belton. But you know what? This four-star spot completely won me over with its surprisingly peaceful setting along Mill Road. The whole place has this relaxed, family-friendly vibe that feels worlds away from the typical crowded resort experience — and the fact that there’s parking right on site means you’re not lugging bags across some massive car park.
Location & Setting
The location here is actually brilliant, and I can see why recent guests rated it a solid 9.0. You’re tucked away in this quiet corner of Norfolk, but Great Yarmouth and the coast are just a short drive away when you want some seaside action. What I really loved though was how the park itself feels like it’s nestled into the countryside — there’s something genuinely calming about waking up to green spaces rather than concrete. The whole Burgh Castle area has this lovely rural charm that makes you slow down and actually relax.
Accommodation Experience
My room was clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but everything you need for a proper getaway. The accommodations here range from static caravans to lodges, and while they’re not going to win any design awards, they’re well-maintained and surprisingly spacious. I mean, you’ve got your own little space with a decent kitchen setup, which is perfect when you want to make a cup of tea without trekking to some communal area. The whole setup just works for families or couples who want that home-away-from-home feeling.
Facilities & Activities
The park facilities are where this place really shines, actually. There’s an indoor swimming pool that’s great when the Norfolk weather decides to be typically unpredictable, and the entertainment program keeps things lively without being overwhelming. The on-site restaurant serves decent pub-style food — nothing groundbreaking, but satisfying after a day exploring the Broads or the nearby beaches. What impressed me most was how they’ve managed to create enough activities to keep you busy while still maintaining that peaceful, unhurried atmosphere.
Why Guests Love It
I can definitely understand why couples rate this place so highly — there’s something really appealing about having your own little retreat while still being part of a friendly community. The staff are genuinely helpful without being intrusive, and the whole park has this relaxed energy where you can be as social or as private as you want. Plus, being able to explore the Norfolk Broads and then come back to your own quiet space is pretty much the perfect holiday combination. It’s not glamorous, but it’s exactly what a proper British holiday should feel like.

The caravan was very clean and very spacious.
Dan
Caravan was lovely and modern , everything we needed . If the caravan wasn’t so nice I would have gone home the same evening. Awful campsite , overpriced food, nothing except the onsite restaurant to get hot food
Simon
It was big, and had everything you needed.
Janet
I like that the owner had thought of nearly everything possible that holiday makers may have needed from towels, toiletries, cleaning, colouring pencils and books for kids, reading for adults, crockery for toddlers, travel cot, condiments and tea/coffee / sugar, ahh and little teddies placed on all beds, could not fault this place, It was cold...
