The building itself has this understated elegance that feels very North Wales, you know? The rooms – well, mine anyway – had this gorgeous view toward Snowdonia that you don’t expect from what looks like a regular townhouse from the street. The owner (I think it was the owner?) was incredibly welcoming during check-in, gave me proper local recommendations rather than the usual tourist trap suggestions. The location is actually perfect if you want to explore Caernarfon properly but escape the crowds that pile around the castle during peak season. You’re maybe a five-minute walk from the town center, close enough that you can easily wander down to the waterfront or grab dinner at one of the decent pubs, but far enough up the hill that you’re not dealing with tour groups marching past your window at 8 AM. Parking was straightforward too – they’ve got it sorted, which anyone who’s tried to park near Caernarfon Castle will appreciate. The whole area gets pretty quiet in the evenings, perfect for actually sleeping well before heading out to tackle Snowdon or the coast. Honestly, with a 9.2 rating, I was expecting something good, but this place exceeded even those expectations. It’s the sort of find that makes you want to plan your next North Wales trip around coming back here.
