The Wednesday market in Vias is worth timing your stay around too – proper local produce and none of that tourist trap nonsense. Check-in was refreshingly human, actually – the owner clearly knows the area inside and out and gave me restaurant recommendations that turned out to be spot-on. It’s the kind of place where you feel like you’re staying somewhere real rather than just passing through another generic hotel. If you want that authentic French coastal experience without the pretension or the massive price tag, this is honestly one of the better options I’ve found along this stretch of coast.
