Lovely 3 Bed Caravan, Milford on Sea

HOTEL OVERVIEW
You know what caught me off guard about this place? I was expecting some cramped holiday park situation, but this three-bedroom caravan on Shorefield Road actually feels like a proper little beach house. I mean, it’s still a caravan – let’s be real – but whoever set this up really thought it through. The moment you walk in, there’s this surprisingly spacious living area that doesn’t have that claustrophobic holiday rental vibe, and honestly, the kitchen’s better equipped than my London flat.
The location is what really makes it though. You’re literally a five-minute walk from Milford beach, which most people overlook because they’re all rushing off to the New Forest or heading to the Needles. Big mistake on their part – this stretch of coastline is absolutely gorgeous, especially early morning when the dog walkers are out and the light hits the water just right. There’s this little path that cuts through from the site straight down to the shingle, and you can see across to the Isle of Wight on clear days. The Needles look incredible from here, actually better than from Alum Bay if you ask me. Plus, you’ve got that whole stretch toward Barton-on-Sea for proper long walks – I did the cliff walk to Christchurch one morning and it was stunning.
What I really appreciated was how quiet it stays, even in summer. The site itself is well-managed (parking right outside, no drama with check-in), and while you’re obviously sharing the space with other holidaymakers, it never felt crowded or noisy. The caravan’s got decent soundproofing too – couldn’t hear the neighbors, which is always my worry with these places. The bedrooms are a good size, proper beds not those awful sofa-bed situations, and there’s actually enough storage space for a week’s worth of stuff. The shower’s small but functional, hot water was reliable, and they’ve got all the basics sorted – decent WiFi, TV that actually works, even a little outdoor seating area where you can have your morning coffee. I spent most evenings out there with a glass of wine, watching the sunset colors change over the Solent. The nearby village has a couple of solid pubs (the Red Lion’s your best bet for dinner), and if you fancy something fancier, Lymington’s just a quick drive away. Really, for the price and that location, you’re getting proper value – it’s like having your own little slice of the Hampshire coast without the hotel nonsense.

The Shorefield holiday park site has an excellent pool and we were staying in the caravan during major storms so being able to burn off some energy there made a huge difference to our stay. The staff on site were friendly and helpful and the owners were perfect in setting us up and making sure we had access to on site facilities.
