Lorikeet Holiday Park
You know what struck me first about Lorikeet Holiday Park? It’s not your typical hotel at all – this place sits right on Eggins Drive in Arrawarra, and honestly, the moment you pull up, you realize you’ve found something pretty special. I mean, calling it a “holiday park” might throw you off if you’re expecting a standard hotel lobby, but that’s exactly the point. This is where families from Sydney and Brisbane have been coming for years to properly unwind, and once you see the setup, you’ll get why they keep coming back.
The whole place has this relaxed, almost residential vibe that actually works in its favor. Your accommodation options range from these well-maintained cabins to powered sites if you’re traveling with a caravan – and honestly, even the cabin setups feel more spacious than your average hotel room. The staff really knows their stuff about the local area too, which is gold when you’re trying to figure out the best times to hit Arrawarra Beach (early morning or late afternoon, trust me on this). Speaking of the beach, it’s literally a few minutes’ walk away, and not the crowded tourist strip kind – we’re talking about one of those proper Australian coastal stretches where you can actually hear the waves over the sound of kids playing. The pool area gets busy around mid-morning when families start filtering out from breakfast, but there’s something nice about that energy, you know? It feels lived-in rather than sterile.
What really sells this place, though, is how it handles the practical stuff without making a big deal about it. Parking’s never an issue – there’s plenty of space and you’re not doing that awkward hotel shuffle with your luggage. The grounds are kept really well, and I noticed they’ve got those little touches that show someone actually cares, like decent outdoor furniture that isn’t falling apart and barbecue areas that are properly maintained. The location on Eggins Drive means you’re close enough to Coffs Harbour when you need proper shops or restaurants (about 10 minutes by car), but far enough away that you’re not dealing with that tourist town chaos. Honestly, the 7.9 rating feels about right – it’s not trying to be a five-star resort, but it delivers exactly what it promises without any nasty surprises. If you’re looking for that authentic Australian coastal holiday experience without the inflated prices of the more famous spots, this is your answer. Just book ahead during school holidays – the locals have already figured out this gem.

Great bush and beachfront location. Nice pool, friendly and helpful staff.
Could be improved
Firstly, non-existent functional Wifi.. in 2025 most travellers expect to maintain communications via wifi. The television channels were limited, more noticeable without wifi.

Clean and quiet. The kitchen had the basic which is all we needed. Value for money. Private Beach access and close to nature. We had the beach almost to ourselves. Our cabin was a short walk the lake as well with ducks milling around.

Everything! Great location, clean amenities, comfortable and spacious enough for a family of 5 (3 teenagers) friendly staff. So good it kept 3 teenagers off their phones!
Could be improved
Only complaint is that the mattresses were too hard for our preference.

The cabin suited our need to work at getting our new house ready during the day and rest up at lorikeet at night What could be improved: What we didn't like was the WiFi internet was atrocious and basically unusable. The kitchen lacked many utensils for cooking and there was no...
