HOTEL OVERVIEW
Honestly, Long Beach Alanya surprised me – and I mean that in the best way possible. When you’re driving through Avsallar toward the Turkler area, you sort of expect another cookie-cutter resort, but this place actually has some personality to it. The location is pretty sweet too, nestled right in Incekum where the beach gets that softer sand everyone talks about (locals will tell you it’s because of how the currents work along this stretch).
The ultra all-inclusive setup here is… well, it’s comprehensive without being overwhelming, if that makes sense. You know how some places bombard you with a million dining options that all taste the same? Not really the case here. The main restaurant gets busy around 7 PM – I’d grab dinner closer to 6 if you want to actually enjoy your meal without elbowing through crowds. What I really appreciated was how they handle the poolside service; the staff genuinely seems to remember your drink preferences after day two, which is a small thing but makes a difference when you’re trying to unwind. The beach access is direct, no weird shuttle situation, and you’re looking at about a 30-second walk from the lobby to sand between your toes.
Now, the 7.7 rating makes sense when you spend time here – it’s solid without being spectacular. The rooms are comfortable (I mean, the AC works reliably, which isn’t always a given in this heat), and the soundproofing is decent enough that you won’t hear every conversation from the hallway. Check-in was smooth, though if you arrive during the afternoon rush around 3-4 PM, expect to wait a bit. The grounds are well-maintained, especially considering how much foot traffic they get during peak season. One thing that struck me – and maybe it’s because I’ve stayed at too many generic resorts – is how the staff actually seems to enjoy working there. You notice these things when someone brings you coffee with a genuine smile versus the forced hospitality you get elsewhere. The evening entertainment is hit or miss depending on your taste, but honestly, after a day in the Mediterranean sun, you might just want to grab a drink and watch the sunset anyway. If you’re planning to explore beyond the resort, Avsallar center is maybe a 10-minute dolmus ride, and you’re close enough to both Alanya and Side for easy day trips without feeling like you’re staying in the middle of nowhere.
