What struck me was how they managed to make something so compact feel luxurious rather than cramped. The bathroom situation is handled cleverly too, with a separate building that’s beautifully designed and never felt inconvenient. Parking is easy (which, let’s be real, matters when you’re road-tripping through rural France), and the grounds are just… peaceful. You wake up to actual bird sounds instead of traffic, which is wild when you’re used to city life.

The location is perfect if you want to explore this part of Morbihan without dealing with tourist crowds. Pluvigner is about ten minutes away and has everything you need – decent bakery, small market, that sort of thing. But honestly, the real draw is how close you are to some incredible spots that most tourists miss. The Kerguéhennec sculpture park is practically next door, and if you’re into megalithic sites (I mean, you’re in Brittany, so you should be), you’re right in the sweet spot between Carnac and Locmariaquer without the summer chaos. The coast is maybe twenty minutes if you want to hit the Gulf of Morbihan, but there’s something to be said for staying inland where things feel more authentic.

I’ll be straight with you – this isn’t the place if you need a concierge or room service. But the hosts are incredibly helpful when you need recommendations, and they clearly love what they’ve created here. Check-in was refreshingly personal, more like staying with friends who happen to have amazing taste. The whole experience feels thoughtful rather than commercial, which probably explains that 8.9 rating. It’s the kind of place where you actually want to spend time on the property instead of just crashing between day trips. Fair warning though – book ahead if you’re planning a summer visit, because word is definitely getting out about this little gem.
