You’re literally perched on the ocean’s edge here, with unobstructed views across the bay that change completely depending on the tide and weather. What I love is how couples seem to get it — they consistently rate this spot highly for romantic breaks, and I can see why. There’s something about watching the sunset over the Irish Sea that just works, especially when you’re not fighting crowds for the best viewpoint.

The Accommodation

My room was surprisingly spacious and well-thought-out, with those floor-to-ceiling windows that frame the seascape perfectly. The décor strikes that tricky balance between coastal charm and modern comfort — think clean lines with subtle nautical touches that don’t feel forced or cheesy. The bed was properly comfortable (I’m picky about mattresses), and honestly, falling asleep to the sound of waves is something you don’t realize you’ve missed until you have it again. The bathroom was spotless and well-appointed, though nothing overly fancy — just good quality fixtures and plenty of hot water.
