I’ve stayed at a lot of resorts in Belek over the years, and Ela Excellence really does live up to its name – which honestly surprised me because, let’s face it, sometimes these places promise the world and deliver mediocre poolside service. But this one’s different. The moment you pull up (and parking is actually seamless, thank god), you’re hit with this sense that they’ve thought through every detail. It’s right there in Iskele Mevkii, which puts you perfectly positioned between the golf courses that Belek’s famous for and the beach that stretches for miles.
The thing about this stretch of the Turkish coast is that it can get absolutely packed during peak season – I mean, shoulder-to-shoulder chaos – but Ela Excellence has this way of feeling like your own private escape even when it’s busy. The grounds are sprawling enough that you’re not constantly bumping into other guests, and they’ve actually managed to design the pools and restaurants so there’s always a quiet corner if you need it. What really got me was the attention to those little things that matter when you’re trying to unwind – like how the towel service actually works (you don’t have to hunt down staff), and the way they’ve positioned the loungers so you’re not staring directly into someone else’s conversation. The beachfront access is genuine too, not one of those situations where you have to trek half a mile through other hotels’ territories.
I’ll be honest, the 8.9 rating makes sense once you’ve been there a few days. The food – and I’m usually pretty skeptical of all-inclusive dining – actually impressed me. They’ve got this Turkish breakfast setup that goes way beyond the standard hotel fare, with local cheeses and honey that tastes like it came from somewhere nearby, not shipped in from who knows where. The evening restaurants rotate through different cuisines, and while you’ll want to venture into Belek town for some authentic lokanta experiences (there’s this place about ten minutes away that locals swear by), you won’t feel trapped eating the same bland resort food every night. The staff genuinely seems to care about whether you’re having a good time, which you can tell isn’t just training – it’s more like they take pride in the place. Even during the busier evening hours, service doesn’t completely fall apart like it does at some of these big resorts. If you’re planning to visit, just know that July and August can be intense heat-wise, but the spring and fall months? That’s when this place really shines. The Turkish Riviera has this golden light in the late afternoon that makes everything look like a postcard, and from Ela Excellence’s terraces, you get the full show.
