Diamond Beach Holiday Park
You know what struck me first about Diamond Beach Holiday Park? It’s actually right there on Jubilee Parade – like, you can literally roll out of bed and onto one of the most gorgeous stretches of sand on the mid-north coast. I mean, the name isn’t just clever marketing; this place genuinely sits where Diamond Beach does its thing, and honestly, that coastline lives up to the hype with those crystal-clear waters that seem to shift from turquoise to deep blue depending on the light.
The park itself has this laid-back vibe that somehow manages to feel polished without being stuffy – which makes sense given that 4-star rating. The cabins are scattered around in a way that doesn’t feel cramped, and there’s enough variety that you’re not staring into your neighbor’s window while you’re having your morning coffee. What I really appreciated was how quiet it gets at night; sure, you’ll hear the ocean (which is actually pretty amazing for falling asleep), but it’s not one of those places where generators are humming until midnight or kids are running around screaming at dawn. The check-in folks seem to know their stuff too – they’ll tell you which beach access points are less crowded and when the local surf shop opens, that sort of insider knowledge that actually matters when you’re trying to make the most of your time.
Here’s the thing about this spot that you won’t get from the glossy photos: it’s perfectly positioned for exploring but removed enough that you’re not fighting tourist crowds every time you step outside. Forster-Tuncurry is just down the road when you need proper shops or restaurants, but Diamond Beach itself has this almost secret-spot feeling, especially if you walk north along the beach toward the headland. The holiday park gets busy during school holidays (obviously), but even then it doesn’t feel chaotic. Parking’s never been an issue in my experience, and there’s something refreshing about a place that feels established without being run-down – you can tell they’ve put thought into maintaining things properly. The 8.5 rating makes complete sense when you factor in that beachfront location, decent facilities, and the fact that you’re getting genuine coastal holiday vibes without paying resort prices or dealing with resort crowds.

It’s excellent for kids and not as hectic as some other kid friendly campground. The cabin was in immaculate condition and the staff were lovely.

Diamond Beach holiday Park is amazing! There is a pool that you can relax in, the beach is easily accessible from the park itself, you have the games room with table tennis etc. The cabin we stayed in was clean and looked amazing (also has air con). The staff are friendly and greeted us the minute we got to reception and gave us directions on how...

Our cabin was perfect, however I struggled with the stove top. Some instructions might’ve helped. I'm not a fan of glass top cookers. Everything we needed was provided. It was quiet, however it was a week day stay, so could be different weekends & holidays. Easy walk to the beautiful beach. Sea was a bit rough for me but easy walking by the shore...
