HOTEL OVERVIEW
You know what? I’ve stayed at quite a few places along the Turkish Riviera, but the Delphin Palace in Lara actually surprised me – and I mean that in the best way possible. When you first pull up, it’s this massive complex that honestly looks a bit overwhelming from the outside, but once you’re inside, the layout starts making sense. The lobby has this grand, almost Roman-inspired design that could easily feel tacky, but somehow they pulled it off without going full theme park.
The thing about staying in Lara is that you’re technically in Antalya, but you’re really in this hotel zone that’s sort of its own world – which can be good or bad depending on what you’re after. If you want to explore authentic Turkish culture, you’ll need to take a taxi or dolmus into the old town (about 20 minutes), but honestly? Sometimes you just want to sink into vacation mode without thinking too hard. The beach here is actually pretty spectacular – none of that rocky Mediterranean coastline you get in some spots. It’s proper sand, and the water stays shallow for a good stretch, which I noticed families really appreciated. The hotel’s beach service is solid too, though you’ll want to claim your spot early during peak season because it gets busy by 10 AM.
What really won me over was the attention to details you don’t always get, even at five-star places. The room service actually arrives hot – I know that sounds basic, but you’d be surprised how many hotels mess that up. The housekeeping staff somehow manages to clean around your stuff without making it feel like they rearranged your entire life. And the pools (there are several) have different vibes – there’s a quiet adult area if you need to escape the splash zone, but the main pool area has this energy that’s fun without being chaotic. The food situation is better than I expected too. Sure, it’s buffet-style for most meals, but they’ve got live cooking stations and the Turkish breakfast spread is genuinely impressive. I mean, you’re not going to get the same experience as a little family-run pension in Kaş, but for what it is, they do it well. The evening entertainment can be a bit hit-or-miss – some nights it’s charming local music, other nights it feels like cruise ship territory – but the outdoor terraces are lovely for just sitting with a drink after dinner.
Just heads up on a couple of things: the Wi-Fi can be spotty in some rooms (seems to depend on which wing you’re in), and if you’re not into the all-inclusive scene, you might feel a bit trapped since there’s not much within walking distance. But honestly, with an 8.7 rating, they’re clearly doing something right, and after spending time there, I get it.

Location was fab. 20 mins from airport and land of legends. There was so much to do for the children they loved it especially the childrens paradise. There was also a wide variety of food which was lovely. Staff were super friendly and accomodating.
