The owner clearly knows the area inside and out too – they pointed me toward this local bakery about ten minutes down the road that I never would’ve found otherwise, and honestly, it made my whole trip.

Check-in was refreshingly straightforward (no hovering around a front desk for ages), and parking is right there by your cottage, which sounds obvious but you’d be surprised how many places make you haul your luggage across half a property. The cottages themselves have that lived-in comfort that makes you want to actually relax instead of worrying about touching anything. I stayed during what’s apparently their busier season, but it never felt crowded or noisy – the layout gives each cottage enough space that you’re not hearing your neighbors’ conversations. What really sealed it for me was the little touches that show someone actually thinks about what guests need: proper reading lights by the bed, enough outlets for your devices, and a kitchen that’s actually equipped for more than just reheating takeout. The whole experience felt less like staying at a hotel and more like borrowing a friend’s really nice place in the mountains. It’s the kind of spot where you’ll find yourself planning your next visit before you’ve even packed up to leave.
