Busselton Jetty Chalets

Busselton Jetty Chalets Overview
You know what struck me first about Busselton Jetty Chalets? The location is absolutely killer – I mean, you’re literally on Marine Terrace, which means you can practically roll out of bed and onto the beach. And not just any beach, honestly – you’re a stone’s throw from that famous 1.8km jetty that everyone raves about. I’ve stayed at plenty of places that claim to be “near the water,” but this is the real deal.
The chalets themselves have this laid-back, almost cabin-like vibe that works perfectly with the whole Busselton atmosphere. Nothing too fancy or pretentious – just solid, comfortable accommodation that feels like someone actually thought about what travelers need. The rooms are spacious enough that you’re not tripping over your suitcase every five minutes, and honestly, after spending days exploring the Margaret River region (which is what most people are doing when they end up here), having that extra space to spread out is a godsend. Parking was straightforward too, which might sound boring but trust me, after driving around some of these coastal towns looking for a spot, you’ll appreciate it.
What I really loved was how quiet it gets at night – well, quiet except for the ocean, which is exactly the kind of background noise you want. During the day though, you’re perfectly positioned to walk down to the jetty train (definitely do that if you haven’t been on it), or grab coffee at one of the decent cafes along the foreshore. The whole setup just makes sense, you know? You’re not stuck in some resort bubble, but you’re also not scrambling to figure out where everything is. I stayed during shoulder season in autumn and it was perfect – still warm enough for beach walks but without the summer crowds. I imagine it gets pretty busy in December and January, but that’s Busselton for you. The staff seemed to actually know the area too, which is rarer than it should be – they had solid recommendations for dinner spots and mentioned a few local swimming spots that aren’t in every guidebook. For what you’re paying (and with that 8.7 rating, it’s clearly not just me who thinks this), you’re getting a proper base for exploring this part of WA without the inflated prices of some of the more boutique places down the coast.

They are charming and spacious units hugging closed to the beach. The other guests respected everyone’s privacy and there wasn’t any loud music or noises during the weekend. We love the peaceful surroundings.

Very clean and comfortable, close to the beach and the centre. Loved the kitchen so we could make our own breakfast. We didn't see staff as it was the weekend, but they assisted us over the phone. Highly recommend 😊 What could be improved: There is no marking on the taps in the shower, which one is hot/cold so you have to check both until you...

Location to beach, jetty, restaurants and cafes. Quiet premises.
What could be improved: The bathroom in our 2 bedroom chalet was a little pokie.
