Breeze Holiday Parks – Grampians
Honestly, when you first pull up to Breeze Holiday Parks on Grampians Road, it doesn’t try to impress you with some fancy facade – and that’s actually what I love about it. It’s the kind of place that just makes sense when you’re planning to spend most of your time hiking the Pinnacle or wandering around MacKenzie Falls anyway. You know what really struck me? The way they’ve managed to keep that proper holiday park vibe without feeling run-down or stuck in the ’80s.
The location is pretty much perfect if you ask me – I mean, you’re literally a five-minute drive from the main Halls Gap township, but far enough out that you’re not dealing with the weekend crowds stumbling back from the pub. The cabins (well, most of them) actually have decent views toward the ranges, and there’s something really satisfying about waking up and seeing those jagged peaks first thing in the morning. The facilities are clean – not sparkling resort-level, but the kind of clean that matters when you’ve got sandy boots and need a proper shower after a day on the trails. What surprised me was how quiet it gets at night, considering you’re still pretty close to town. Sure, you’ll hear the occasional car heading up to the lookouts, but it’s nothing that’ll keep you awake.
I’ll be straight with you – it’s a 3-star place and it feels like a 3-star place, but in the best possible way. The staff actually know the area (they pointed me toward this lesser-known track near Venus Baths that I never would’ve found otherwise), and check-in was refreshingly straightforward. No trying to upsell you on breakfast packages or spa treatments – just “here’s your key, wifi password is on the fridge, enjoy your stay.” The kitchenettes are properly equipped too, which matters because while Halls Gap has some decent cafes, you don’t always want to drive into town for every meal. There’s a Foodworks supermarket about ten minutes away if you need supplies. One small thing – the hot water can be a bit temperamental in the mornings when everyone’s getting ready, but honestly, after a day hiking around the Grampians, you’re just grateful for any hot water at all. It’s the sort of place that works because it doesn’t try to be something it’s not, and when you’re surrounded by some of Victoria’s best bushwalking country, that’s exactly what you want.
Premium village resorts combine the charm of traditional village life with modern luxury accommodations, creating unique destinations where travelers can immerse themselves in local culture and relaxation.

Lovely spacious campground and modern renovated cabins and facilities, surrounded by bushland, mountain views and lots of animals. We had our dog so it was awesome to have the dog exercise area and pet friendly cabins.

Great location with a comfortable cabin that has everything we needed. The park is located next to the bike path so can readily ride or walk into town.
