Borderland Wodonga Holiday Park
You know what caught me off guard about Borderland Wodonga Holiday Park? It’s actually way more polished than the name suggests. I mean, when you hear “holiday park,” you’re probably picturing something pretty basic, but this place on McKoy Street has really stepped up its game. The moment you pull in, there’s this sense that someone actually cares about the details here – the grounds are genuinely well-maintained, and honestly, the facilities feel more like a proper resort than your typical caravan park setup.
The location is pretty clever too, if you ask me. You’re tucked away enough on McKoy Street that you don’t get the highway noise from the main drags, but you can still walk to the Wodonga Plaza in about fifteen minutes when you need supplies or decent coffee. What I really appreciated was how they’ve managed to create these little pockets of space throughout the park – some areas are clearly designed for families with kids running around, while other sections feel more suited for couples or anyone wanting a bit of quiet. The pool area actually gets decent sun most of the day, which sounds obvious but you’d be surprised how many places get this wrong.
Here’s the thing though – while the 7.6 rating is pretty fair, there are definitely some quirks you should know about. The cabins vary quite a bit in terms of updates, so it’s worth asking about newer units when you book. Some of the older ones still have that slightly musty holiday park smell that takes a day or two to get used to. But the newer accommodations? They’re genuinely comfortable, with decent air conditioning that actually works during those brutal Albury-Wodonga summers. The kitchen setups are better than expected too – proper-sized fridges and enough bench space that you can actually cook without feeling cramped. I’d definitely recommend this place if you’re exploring the Murray River region or using Wodonga as a base for wine tours around Rutherglen. It’s one of those spots that feels like good value once you settle in, especially if you snag one of the better cabins.

The cabins were great, and the pool was perfect for a hot day and the staff were very lovely. Facilities were very clean Good to see you can bring your dogs What could be improved: The beds were a bit hard and the bunk rooms for very hot with no fan. The games room was lacking and the play grounds needs a cover so you don't burn in the sun. ...

Had booked older smaller cabin, a bit passed it with a noisy heater all night and a small ancient element stove, to get renovation they said. Next day offering to pay for the nice newly renovated cabin last time, a free upgrade to it was given by the nice lady in the office for the rest of the week. Pretty clean with great bathroom and lots of...
