The facilities are genuinely well-maintained – I mean, the bathrooms were actually clean at 10pm on a Saturday night, which honestly tells you everything you need to know about how they run the place. The cabins have that practical, no-nonsense setup that works whether you’re traveling with kids who destroy everything or you’re just a couple wanting somewhere decent to crash between exploring the Great Ocean Road. And speaking of kids, there’s enough space here that they can run around without you constantly worrying they’re bothering other guests. The playground equipment looked relatively new too, not like those sad, sun-bleached setups you see at some places.

Plus, there’s a Woolworths about five minutes drive away if you need supplies. The Wi-Fi works fine for basic stuff – don’t expect to stream Netflix in 4K, but checking emails and maps is no problem. With an 8.3 rating, you can tell other people have figured out what I did – this place just works. It’s not going to win any design awards, but when you want somewhere clean, affordable, and properly run in Warrnambool, honestly, you could do a lot worse than parking yourself here for a few nights.
