BIG4 Seymour Holiday Park
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to BIG4 Seymour Holiday Park on Trevan Street, I wasn’t expecting much. It’s one of those places you might drive past without a second thought, tucked away in what feels like a pretty quiet corner of Seymour. But you know what? Sometimes the best discoveries happen when you lower your expectations.
The thing about this place is that it actually gets the basics really, really right. The staff at check-in were genuinely helpful – not that forced cheerfulness you get at some chain places, but like they actually wanted to make sure you had what you needed. And honestly, the grounds are way more spacious than they look from the street. There’s this nice mix going on where families with kids can spread out and make noise near the playground area, while couples or anyone wanting some peace can find quieter spots further back. I mean, it’s still a holiday park so you’re not getting complete silence, but they’ve managed the layout pretty thoughtfully.
What surprised me most was how well-maintained everything felt. The amenities block was actually clean (I know, revolutionary concept), and the camp kitchen had decent equipment that people hadn’t completely trashed. The powered sites are generous too – you’re not parked practically on top of your neighbors like at some places I could mention. If you’re coming through Seymour on your way up to the Murray or heading toward the snow, this makes for a solid overnight stop that won’t break the bank. The location works well because you’re close enough to the town center for supplies, but far enough out that you don’t get road noise from the highway. Just don’t expect anything fancy – this is comfortable, unpretentious accommodation that does exactly what it says on the tin. Perfect if you want somewhere reliable to crash without paying resort prices.

Large vans came in and blocked the view of the river.
Not enough tea bags for a 2 person 2 night stay.

Beautiful and relaxing by the water front. Staff at the desk were so helpful. Park guests were friendly and so considerate to one another. The park was beautiful

Could probably use a few more kid orientated activities for the slightly younger ones, but all in all, I couldn't fault it.
