Look, I’ll be honest – when I first saw “mobilhome” in the name, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this little gem tucked away on Rue du Camping in Boofzheim completely surprised me. It’s basically a really well-done mobile home setup, but don’t let that fool you into thinking it’s some cramped RV situation. The air conditioning alone makes it worth mentioning (trust me, you’ll appreciate this during those sticky Alsace summers), and the whole place has this unexpectedly cozy, almost boutique feel to it.

What really sold me was the location – you’re literally a stone’s throw from Europapark, which I mean, if you’re traveling with kids or you’re just into theme parks, this is pretty much perfect. But here’s what the booking sites don’t tell you: Boofzheim itself is actually kind of charming. It’s one of those sleepy Alsatian villages where you can walk to a proper bakery in the morning, and the locals at the little café down the street will actually chat with you if you attempt even basic French. The camping area where this place sits isn’t your typical crowded holiday park either – it’s surprisingly quiet, especially in the evenings when most of the day-trippers have headed home.

Inside, everything’s compact but thoughtfully laid out. The kitchen actually works (I’ve stayed in plenty of “equipped” places where you can barely boil water), and there’s enough space to spread out without feeling like you’re living in a shoebox. The bedroom stays genuinely cool thanks to that AC unit, which honestly became my best friend during a particularly hot July stay. Parking’s right there – no hunting around narrow village streets or feeding meters, just pull up and you’re done. The only minor thing is that you can occasionally hear other guests if they’re being loud, but most people staying here seem to be families or couples who aren’t looking to party anyway. Check-in was refreshingly straightforward too, none of that complicated key-pickup-from-three-different-locations nonsense you sometimes get with vacation rentals. You know what really impressed me though? The cleanliness and attention to detail. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained, not like some places where you’re afraid to look too closely at the corners.
