HOTEL OVERVIEW
Look, I’ll be honest – when I first pulled up to Adenya Hotel & Resort on Golcuk Cad, I wasn’t sure what to expect from another all-inclusive along this stretch of coast. But this place actually surprised me, and that doesn’t happen often anymore.
The whole halal concept here isn’t just a marketing thing – they’ve really thought it through. You won’t find alcohol anywhere, obviously, but honestly? The mocktails by the pool are pretty creative, and there’s something refreshing about not having to deal with the usual drunk tourist chaos that plagues other resorts in Avsallar. The staff genuinely seems to care about creating that family-friendly atmosphere, which I mean, sounds cheesy, but it works. Check-in was smooth – they actually had our rooms ready before the official time, which never happens in high season. Speaking of seasons, if you can swing it, late May or early September are your sweet spots here. You’ll avoid the July madness when half of Europe descends on the Turkish Riviera, but the weather’s still perfect for the beach.
What really sets this place apart though is the attention to detail. The food goes way beyond your typical hotel buffet fare – there’s this incredible Turkish breakfast spread that honestly made me skip lunch more than once. The location on Turkler Mevkii puts you right between the quieter Avsallar area and the more developed Alanya, so you get the best of both worlds. You’re close enough to hop into town for some proper Turkish shopping (the leather goods in Alanya are no joke), but far enough from the main drag that you can actually hear the waves at night. Parking’s never an issue if you rent a car, which I’d recommend – that coastal drive to Side is absolutely worth it. The beach access is direct, no weird shuttle situation, and the sand is that perfect Mediterranean mix of soft but not too fine. Pool area gets busy around 10 AM when families stake out their spots, but the early morning and late afternoon hours are pure bliss. Only minor gripe? The WiFi in some rooms can be spotty, especially on the upper floors facing the sea. Not a dealbreaker, but worth mentioning if you’re planning to work remotely. The 8.2 rating this place has earned feels about right – it’s solid, reliable, and does what it promises without any nasty surprises.
