30 Granada

30 Granada Overview
Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when I first pulled up to 30 Granada – I mean, it’s tucked right into the Selsey Country Club grounds on Golf Links Lane, and from the outside you might think you’re just visiting someone’s incredibly stylish friend. But that’s exactly what makes this place so brilliant, actually. It doesn’t try to be a traditional hotel at all, which is refreshing when you’ve stayed in too many cookie-cutter places that all blend together.
The location is properly interesting – you’re literally on the golf course (the sound of early morning golfers becomes oddly soothing after a day or two), but Selsey Beach is just a short walk away, and I love that contrast. You can have your morning coffee watching people tee off, then be digging your toes in the sand by lunchtime. The whole Selsey peninsula has this end-of-the-world feeling that’s hard to find elsewhere on the south coast – it’s where locals from Chichester come when they want to properly escape, you know? Parking was straightforward, which matters more than people realize, especially during summer when the beach crowds descend.
What really got me was the attention to detail inside – everything feels considered but not precious, if that makes sense. The rooms have this boutique vibe that actually feels authentic rather than trying-too-hard trendy. I stayed during a particularly windy October weekend (Selsey gets proper blustery being so exposed), and the place felt genuinely cozy rather than just styled to look cozy. The staff clearly know the area well – they pointed me toward Bill’s Cafe in town (locals’ favorite, not touristy at all) and mentioned the best times to visit Pagham Nature Reserve nearby, which I wouldn’t have discovered otherwise. Check-in was relaxed and personal, the kind where they remember your name without making a big show of it.
You know what struck me most? It’s the sort of place that works whether you’re using it as a base for exploring – Portsmouth’s naval history is close enough for a day trip, and the South Downs are right there – or if you just want to decompress completely. I saw couples on romantic weekends, a few solo travelers like myself, and even some golfers who clearly weren’t staying purely for the course access. The whole thing feels more like staying at a friend’s place, if your friend happened to have impeccable taste and lived somewhere unexpectedly special. It’s not cheap, but honestly, places like this are rare enough that you understand why it has that 9.5 rating – it’s doing something different and doing it really well.
Each resort village provides a unique blend of privacy and community, where guests enjoy villa-style accommodations while having access to shared amenities and social experiences.

Fantastique🙂
Exceptional chalet by far the most comfortable chalet we have stayed in.
Lynne from United Kingdom
The chalet was lovely inside, decorated beautifully. It was clean and very well stocked with all you could need for the stay. We stayed as a family of 4 with 2 teenage children. They fitted in the bunk beds no problem. The welcome basket was a lovely touch.

Decor, quality of furniture, kitchen equipment, towels, bedding, shower unit, shower gel, constant hot water. More private than other units as at end of row. Convenience of entering and leaving.

The place was so homely, spotless & well equipped! The little touches made you feel like you were in someone's home, not a holiday chalet, & every bit of space was well used.
